**Foothill Transit photo ID cards are required with the use and purchase of any Foothill Transit discounted pass.

The 31-day Foothill pass is loaded onto an orange or blue micro-chipped plastic card referred to as a “TAP” card. This card is used each time you board the bus, by tapping it against the round TAP logo on the fare box located at the front of the bus. After you tap, listen for a beep and watch for a message showing if your card is valid. The card will count the 31 days from the first time the card is tapped after being loaded.

Senior/disabled and K-12 student passengers must obtain the orange tap card at one of the local Foothill Transit stores by presenting the necessary proof of eligibility. Please call 1-800-743-3463 for a list of these locations and details on cost and information required to prove eligibility for each. Once the orange card has been obtained from Foothill Transit, bring it to the Senior Center, along with proof of City residency, to load a pass at the subsidized rate.

Adult Local, Silver Streak or Commuter Express passes are loaded onto the blue tap card which is available at the Senior Center counter for an additional $2.00 charge. Once obtained, the tap card is good for a period of three years from the date of issue.

Subsidized Rate Requirements

In addition to proof of eligibility for these categories, proof of residency within the City of Azusa is required to purchase a pass at the subsidized rate. Current driver's license or current (within 60 days) utility bill showing name and address of the person wishing to purchase the bus pass is acceptable. (County residents are not eligible for the discount).

Subsidy is available on a first come, first served basis until the monthly appropriation is used up. Cash or check is accepted. All sales are final.
