Welcome to our first “Book to Action” community program. “Book to Action” is a grant initiative by the California Center for the Book that helps libraries tackle important issues in the community and encourage reading, community discussion, and action by taking the basic book club concept and expanding it to create a dynamic series of events aimed at adults and intergenerational groups. This spring, the Azusa City Library will kick off this series with the book, Kiss the Ground by Josh Tickell. We will partner with the Azusa City Community Resources Department to encourage our community with a series of programs intended to promote sustainable living practices, along with revitalizing our community garden. All ages are welcome to participate in Book to Action, though please note most events are geared towards adults and teens. | |
