On March 1, 2018, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board of Directors awarded the City $141,000 to conduct a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Feasibility Study. This Study will assess the feasibility of an Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD) or a Community Revitalization and Investments Area (CRIA) as viable TIF tools.
Since then, the City accepted the award and has taken the first step to the Study. Consistent with Metro’s program objectives, the City has sought a consultant to create a comprehensive, community-driven, transit-supportive planning effort that engages diverse stakeholders in the Study process. The implementation of the Study is solely for the purposes of understanding the viability of a TIF District.
