Services Provided
The Building and Safety Section is a part of the Economic and Community Development Department. The Building Section:
- Regulates construction and occupancy of all residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in order to ensure structural, life, fire, and health safety
- Checks all proposed construction projects, including additions and alterations to existing buildings
- Inspects all new construction, additions, structural alterations, and demolitions
- Provides the general public with basic construction information and calculation of fees
- Issues building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and demolition permits

The City of Azusa Building Section is committed to providing the citizens of Azusa with efficient and courteous services, with the goal of improving the quality of life through the enforcement of state and local building codes.
