Recyclable Trash
MRF processing ensures that a number of commodities are recycled:
  • Paper: All grades of paper are recycled, including junk mail, office paper-bond, computer paper, newspaper, magazines, telephone books, and cardboard boxes.
  • Plastics: Plastics are recycled, including soft drink bottles, milk jugs, cleaning bottles, plastic pipes, plastic bags like bread bags and trash bags, and plastic screw-on bottle caps and lids.
  • Metal: All metal is recycled, including aluminum cans, tin cans, steel cans, bi-metal cans, and other metal products.
  • Glass: All glass containers are recycled, including glass jars and bottles.
  • Organic: Most landscape debris is recoverd, including grass cuttings, leafs, and prunings; wood, inert rock, dirt, asphalt from roll off containers are also covered.
Non-Recyclable Trash
Some items are not recycled through this program. These items include:
  • Bathroom waste
  • Clothing
  • Food waste
  • Diapers
  • Plastic toys
  • Waxed paper
  • Pet litter
  • Ceramic
  • Drinking glasses
  • Syringes and Needles
