Solar Pv system installation procedures

ATTENTION: Effective January 1, 2017, the Solar Partnership Rebate Program is no longer in effect. No additional rebate applications will be accepted after this date.

Azusa Light & Water finds a utility partnership with its customers to be very important. To better serve its customers, Azusa Light & Water has designed a simple process for installing distributed solar photovoltaic systems.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Azusa Light and Water does not endorse, nor does Azusa Light and Water have any partnerships or affiliations with, any specific solar installation company.

Step One

Please refer to the following Solar Power for Your Home:  A Consumer Guide for valuable information on solar power benefits, limitations, technology options, and installation and financial considerations.

Detailed information regarding solar systems and contractors can be found on the California Energy Commission’s website. Additional information can also be found on the Consumer Education in Renewable Energy website.

Per Senate Bill 1 Guidelines,
customers should implement all cost effective, energy efficiency measures before installing a distributed energy generation system.

Step Two

Customer chooses a contractor to help identify system needs, cost, and complete the system design.

Step Three

Follow the numbered instructions in the Solar Process Flow Chart depending on rated capacity of the PV system.

Net Generation Buy-Back Rate (for systems 10 kW or less)
This schedule defines an incentive to customers for installation of distributed generation systems with generation capacity of 10 kW or less, to comply with Assembly Bill 510.

Interconnection and Net Metering Agreement for generating facility of 10 kW or less (Modified 01/01/17)

Schedule NGP

Co-Energy Metering Time-of-Use Generation Buy-Back Rate (for systems greater than 10 kW and less than 1.0 MW)
These schedules define the incentive to customers for distributed generation systems with generation capacity of greater than 10 kW and less than 1.0 MW.

Interconnection and Co-Energy Metering Agreement for generating facility of greater than 10 kW and less than 1.0 MW (Modified 01/01/17)

Schedule CEM - Co-Energy Metering

Schedule TOU - Time-of-Use
