Starting Monday, February 7 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. representatives from the federally-funded HEAP program will be at the Azusa library auditorium, 729 N. Dalton Ave., to sign up low-income electric customers for one free month’s electricity. This will continue the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, excluding holidays, until further notice.

Customers meeting eligibility requirements can receive credit to their account equal to the total of one month's electric bill per year. Approved applications will have a credit of the electric portion of their bill applied to their new account on or after the next billing cycle. A new Low Income Assistance Application is required each year and income must be verified by office staff. Funds are made available by Azusa Light & Water's Public Benefit funds.
