Riders' Responsibilities

Azusa Transit has established policies to promote the safety and comfort of its riders, and to ensure that Azusa Transit vehicles are safe, welcoming, and provide equitable access for Azusa Transit passengers.

Pick-Up Times

Since you share the van with others, we ask that you be flexible about your trip times. Please be ready a full 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up. Drivers cannot wait if you are not ready as scheduled.

Please allow 10 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time in case the driver is running late. Every effort will be made to get you to your appointment on time. Please do not ask the drivers to make any stops other than the scheduled one.

Drivers

Drivers will be happy to help you in and out of our vehicles and assist in carrying packages (limits can be found in the Code of Conduct/Transit Exclusion Policy) or groceries to your door. Drivers are not allowed into your home for any reason. Should you require further assistance, please arrange to have an aide or friend accompany you.

No-Show Policy

It is your responsibility to inform the Dispatch Office of cancellations in a timely manner to avoid being considered a "no-show." Please be advised that the City has the following "no-show" policy in effect:

After three no-shows you will be notified that if you no-show again within a six month period, your privileges may be suspended for up to 12 months. Subsequent no-shows may result in riding privileges being suspended indefinitely.

Wheelchairs and other mobility aids must be in good working condition (wheelchairs must be equipped with an adequate braking device) in order to be transported.

For your safety, please remain seated at all times while the vehicle is in motion. Seat belts are required to be worn at all times.
